Finally - a nice collection for intermediate players. I’ve been stuck for months trying to find works to help me improve, not too easy or too hard. This is it! Differentiated so as to not be boring. The work is a bit challenging but can certainly be mastered at this level. Now I can continue to feel growth. Wonderful.
As an adult player, I was looking for a nice collection of pieces to play for pleasure. I should have looked more carefully at the table of contents. A large percentage of the pieces are studies by lesser composers, hardly "masterworks". These may be good for students. I will use the lesser works for sight reading practice.
Good selections in this anthology. I don't love the binding and the fingering suggestions are often very awkward. Other anthologies are better, and include much of the same rep. I particularly like Essential Keyboard Études: 100 Early Intermediate to Late Intermediate Studies, Comb Bound Book https://www.amazon.com/dp/147062740X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_oboKCbRXXNXMA
This is my new favorite piano book. I have both volumes of the plastic comb piano classics but I found too many of those songs to be too challenging. This book seems much more accessible and I can learn some of these songs quickly and they still sound nice. Definitely recommended.
Huge compilation for the money - with nice and dark print quality.
The print quality is quite good, and I do recommend it. But I wish there were comb-binding or spring-binding versions since it really is difficult to flip page by page while practicing, considering the thickness of this book. There are 200 pages of actual sheet music in this book.
A nice book for easing back into piano. This will help me to remember, and build to the next level.
